Structural Steel Equipment

Hoist Cranes

Electric Winches

Electric winches are located in winch sheds properly arranged for full coverage of the erection area, depending on the spread of the erection area. A winch shed can also have three to four winches, and three to four such bungalows might be planned. Drilling Machines

The welders required the following equipment for their safety purpose: eye protection shields, gloves, and aprons for shielding their clothing from heat and sparks. They also need the chipping hammer for chipping off slag from the welding joints, a wire brush for cleaning the welded portion after slag removal, and tongs for handling hot components.

Electrode Ovens

Welding electrodes must be stored in ovens whenever the ambient temperature exceeds 25 degrees Celsius. The temperature is kept within the range of 110 degrees Celsius. The electrodes should constantly keep protected from moisture penetration from the atmosphere. In Winter season requires extra precautions. Ovens are either stationary or portable. A standing range includes many trays to keep the electrodes at the proper temperature. The welder and readily stored on-site sometimes carry the portable ovens. Portable electric ovens should be single-phase with, at minimum, a twin tray provision so that a welder has many electrodes to complete his task efficiently.
